Barkada in Edmonds, WA is a cozy gem serving up bold, flavorful Filipino-Hawaiian eats in a laid-back setting. Their Garlic Shrimp is an absolute must, juicy wild blue gulf shrimp bathed in garlic, butter, and lemon, perfectly paired with a creamy mac salad. But the real star? Their Pork Belly Sisig, crispy, tender pork belly seared to perfection with a zesty citrus soy sauce, sweet onions, and spiced aioli. Pro tip: Add an egg for extra richness! Whether you're craving comfort food or bold island flavors, Barkada never misses.

🐾✨ Pupcake Toppers your furry BFF will drool over! ✨🐾

Made with:

💙 1 cup oat flour
🥣 1/2 cup oats
🍎 1/2 cup applesauce
🥜 1/2 cup peanut butter
🥚 1 egg (or swap for 1 banana)
🫐 1/2 cup mashed blueberries

(+ a lil’ peanut butter drizzle for that ✨fancy✨ finish)

👉 Bake at 300*F for 20 minutes

Serve solid or pop on top of a Pupcake for the ultimate pupper dessert moment. 🐶

✨When life gives you lemons… make soup?! 🍋💛

This Cannellini Bean Soup with Lemon & Thyme is basically a warm hug in a bowl.

Ingredients: • 2 tbsp olive oil • 1 yellow onion, chopped • 1 small shallot, chopped • 3 sprigs thyme (plus more for garnish) • 2 tbsp minced garlic • ½ tsp white miso paste • ¼ + ⅛ tsp salt • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper (plus extra for garnish) • 3 cups chicken or veggie broth • 1 tsp lemon zest (plus more for garnish) • 1 tbsp lemon juice • 2 cans cannellini beans, rinsed • ¼ cup grated Parmesan • Toasted whole-wheat baguette slices

Instructions:
1. Sauté onion, shallot & thyme in olive oil (5 min).
2. Add garlic, miso, salt, red pepper. Sizzle for 1 min.
3. Stir in broth, lemon zest & juice. Bring to a simmer.
4. Add beans, simmer 10 min.
5. Stir in Parmesan. Remove thyme sprigs.
6. Serve with extra lemon zest, thyme, red pepper + toasted bread!

Made a very important dessert run to Seattle’s Cake ATM yesterday 🎂💸

We tried the Vanilla Sponge with Strawberry Compote and Vanilla Buttercream + the Earl Grey Sponge with Lemon Curd & Vanilla Bean Buttercream and honestly the Earl Grey has my whole heart!

This is such a cute concept! I love when people bring their creative ideas to life! 💛

Seattle has a CAKE ATM and yes, it’s just as dreamy as it sounds! 🍰✨

We hit up @butterhalfseattle in Ballard around 11:15am and there was already a line! These little cakes go fast, and now we know why….

We snagged the Vanilla Sponge with strawberry compote and the Earl Grey Sponge with lemon curd - and omg, the Earl Grey was my favorite! 😍

Cute, clever and seriously delicious.
