So this is the Turkey Vegetable Salad Jello Recipe, which I found to be PERFECT for all those Thanksgiving leftovers.
(Yeah, I know it’s like 2 weeks past Thanksgiving leftovers, but you know me I like to be ahead of the game so I’m ready for next year!)
Here is the recipe (the actual recipe!)
I cut it in half though!
– 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin
– 2 cans (10 1/2 oz. each) condensed cream of celery soup
– 4 cups of finely diced cooked turkey
– 2 packages (10 oz. each) frozen mixed vegetables, cooked and drained
– 1 cup salad dressing
Line two 8-inch square pans with Heavy Duty Reynolds Wrap, allowing enough extra Reynolds Wrap to fold over top. Soften gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Heat soup and gelatin, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Add turkey, veggies, and salad dressing (do not use mayonnaise), folding all together gently. Divide mixture between two lined pans. Fold Reynolds Wrap over top and freeze until firm. To hold in frozen storage, remove frozen blocks from pans, fold and seal Reynolds Wrap tightly, label, and return to freezer.
I feel like after writing that this was an add for Reynolds Wrap.
Like I said in the video it wasn’t horrible, but at the same time I wouldn’t choose to eat it or make it again.
Tasted like frozen gelatin, until the end when you get that taste of ranch.
I chose Ranch because it just felt like the most basic of salad dressings? Would anyone use something different?
