“Peach Dump Cake”
Holy cow. This recipe. 2 words. SO. GOOD!
Butter + Sugar + Peaches + Cake Mix = not good for your health, but delicious.
Dump Cake became popular in the 1940s and 50s when ingredients were expensive and you wanted to throw something together quickly. Nothing could be more easier than dumping a bunch on ingredients into a pan and baking it at 350* for 50 minutes.
each Dump Cake Ingredients
* 6-8 ripe peaches (but firm enough to slice)
*1 (12oz) can of evaporated milk
*3 large eggs
*1 cup sugar
*1 tbsp (I said tsp in the video oops) cinnamon
*1 package white cake mix (I used Betty Crocker)
*3/4 cup butter melted
*Vanilla Ice Cream
*Salted Caramel Topping
Preheat oven to 350* and butter a 9×13 in pan. In a bowl mix together sliced and pitted peaches, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Sprinkle as much or as little of the white cake mix as you’d like on top. (Do not make the cake mix).
Drizzle butter evenly over entire cake mixture.
Bake for 50 min. Let cool and top with ice cream and caramel sauce.
Let me just say it once more, this recipe is so simple. Peaches are in season! You probably already have these ingredients in your cupboards.
