Happy Thursday lovely wonderful people,
As I’m typing this I am actually sitting here nibbling on this tasty dessert. This 7-Up cake was a genius move on the part of the marketing team of 7-Up. All you need is 3/4 of a cup, yet you will end up buying a gigantic bottle like I did or buy a bunch of little cans. Besides the fact of just selling the soda, the fact that they incorporated into a recipe for a dessert and not just a drink was just another audience of people that they reached.
Cudos to you 7-Up.
7-Up Cake Recipe
– 1 1/2 cup butter
– 3 cups sugar
– 5 eggs
– 3 cups flour
– 2tbsp lemon extract
– 3/4 cup 7-Up
Cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy (about 2 min). Add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Add flour. Beat in lemon extract and 7-Up. Pour batter into well greased and floured jumbo pan. Bake at 325* for an hour to an hour and 15 min.
This cake is actually so good that I want to share it with my friends!
It doesn’t taste super 7-Up(y), more like the lemon extract, but still it’s a very moist cake.
