Hey my Scrumptious Morsels!
This recipe wasn’t technically a Halloween recipe, but like I said in the video I saw the original photo and I knew…I knew that I could create little pumpkin faces in the spam.
Then I got really creative and thought to myself “THE EYES CAN BE GOBLIN EYES”.
One word: GENIUS!
Most of the time when I see Mac & Cheese I am instantly in love with whatever it is. I overlooked the other 3 ingredients however: peas, cream of celery, and spam.
What even is cream of celery? I thought I would ask google and I was happy to see that it was a question others had asked. Apparently it was just used as a base in many casserole dishes and so on. Which I suppose I could have gathered from this recipe itself.
1 – 7 1/4 oz box of Kraft Mac & Cheese
1 – 10 oz package frozen peas
1 – 10 3/4 oz cream of celery soup
1 – 12 oz SPAM
Preheat oven to 350*. Prepare dinner as directed on the package. Instead only using 3/4 cup of milk. Add peas and soup and mix well. Pour into 11 3/4 in x 7 1/2 in casserole dish. Arrange Spam in a checkered pattern (cutting out Halloween faces if you’d like). Bake at 350* for 30 min.
It wasn’t the worst of the worst. The spam added a salty quality to the mac and cheese. The peas added a green change of color. The cream of celery, I couldn’t actually taste the celery flavor but it did add a more creamy texture to the dish.
I would say make it.
