As one of my skating said as she skipped up to me and handed me a present,
“MERRY CHRISTMAS OR ANY OTHER HOLIDAY YOU CELEBRATE!”
That little phrase that came out of my students mouth made my heart melt, so I’ll repeat the phrase to you!
Merry Christmas or any other holiday you celebrate! I hope you have a marvelous day with your friends and family.
These are just a few of the Christmas Retro Recipes I’ve made over the years!
Coco-Cola Cherry Salad Recipe
– 1 – can cherry pie filling
– 1/2 cup of water
– 1 large packet of Cherry Gelatin (or 2 small packets, 3oz each)
– 1 can crushed pineapple + juice (7 1/2 oz)
Optional – 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
– 1 tub of cool whip
– 3 oz cream cheese
Boil the pie filling and water. Remove from heat and add the gelatin mix. Stir until mixed. Add the pineapple with its juice from the can, and add the Coke. Stir in the nuts and cool until set. Meanwhile, mix together the whipped topping and cream cheese and spread on the cooled and set salad. Serve.
Tuna Christmas Tree
– 2 Stalks of Celery
– 1/2 of Onion, minced
– 1 can Tuna
– 4 tbsp Hummus
– Salt & Pepper for taste
– Diced Tomatoes for decoration
– Curly Parsley for decoration
*Basically a tuna salad recipe, but instead of mayo I used humus.
Dice celery and mince onion, add together in a bowl. Add 1 can of albacore tuna + 4 tbsp hummus (or mayo) + salt and pepper, mix. Mold into the shape of a “Christmas Tree” and add curly parsley for decoration and diced tomatoes as the ornaments. Enjoy with pita chips!
